New healow Business Unit Will Expand Communication Between Consumers and Healthcare Providers 

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—February 6, 2013—eClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today launches a new patient engagement initiative aimed to improve communication channels between patients and healthcare providers. With 8 million consumers using the company’s electronic patient portal, eClinicalWorks is investing an additional $25 million over the next 12 months to further enhance and expand patient engagement tools under the business unit Health & Online Wellness (healow™). The first product of this initiative, a free mobile app for patients, will be available for iOS and Android later this month. In contrast to most mobile health applications available today, healow directly connects patients to their own and family electronic health records (EHRs), allowing immediate access to personal medical records and facilitating two-way communications between providers and patients.

The National Football League has decided eClinicalworks to maintain its medical records. 
The records will be available any time/any place which can only benefit the players improve the management of their health.

Congratulations to both!

This year the US Olympics athletes also had the benefit of electronic records.

Hurricane Sandy: Staten Island Update November 4, 2012

Yesterday, my wife, volunteers and I delivered supplies collected at the Staten Island Heart Society.
We saw multiple congregations of people throughout the affected areas sharing food, supplies and moral support. There were many moving stories of people who did not previously know each other doing what we do best: help those in need. It was very touching to talk to those whose homes were filled with sea water and had most of their belongings destroyed express sympathy for even less fortunate than themselves.

The Staten Island Heart Society is a local drop off site for relief items for the Staten Island Victims of Hurricane Sandy.

We will be open to accept items daily from 10 AM - 2:00 PM.

Our hearts and prayers are with all of our families and friend's that have been effected by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath.
